She was born to an American father and Argentinian mother. Brenda's maternal grandmother was a professional pattern maker and seamstress in the New York garment district. Her grandmother would make her all sorts of sporting outfits as well as sweaters. Brenda learned to sew around the age of 10 from her own mother who is a very good seamstress who also learned to sew from her mother. Brenda is very passionate about sewing and fashion and has been influenced by the 1940's era due to the creative use of recycled fabrics and the fabulous hair styles during the war time effort.
Brenda has been a seamstress for several years and loves making new garments for herself to wear. She has been engaged in the fashion industry for 13 years and it has fuled her passion and desire to be a Fashion Designer. She has made her first public fashion design for the Southern Arizona Aids Foundation Moda fashion show for the project runway contest. She is currently pursuing her degree in Fashion Design at Pima Community College. Brenda is also in the process of developing a fashion collection to be shown later in the year.
